2025 was a banner year for the United Tier 1 Hockey League.

UT1HL experienced tremendous growth, welcoming a surge of new organizations into the league. Elite teams traveled from Tennessee, Utah, and Ontario to compete in New England, elevating the competition and strengthening an already impressive field.

With this rapid expansion came the need for a bigger stage — enter the New England Sports Center. Home to eight rinks, NESC became the epicenter of UT1HL action as the league took over the facility twice during the season, delivering nonstop hockey and an electric atmosphere all weekend long.

New champions were crowned across multiple divisions:

  • U14: Islanders Hockey Club

  • U15: New Jersey Rockets

  • U16: Northshore Academy

  • U18: Islanders Hockey Club

The league also proudly introduced a Youth Tournament Series, adding another exciting layer to the UT1HL calendar. Our inaugural event featured outstanding parity and thrilling games, with champions crowned in the U10 (Mass Admirals), U12 (Boston Ice Dogs) and U14 (Maine Moose) divisions, setting the tone for a bright future at the youth level.

Another highlight of the year was our Split Season Campaign, where teams from across New England battled for top honors. The Vermont Jr Cats won the U15 Division, Casco Bay Mariners claimed the U16 championship, while the New Hampshire Avalanche captured the U18 title, capping off an intensely competitive season.

As we close out an unforgettable 2025, the future of UT1HL has never been brighter. With several major announcements on the horizon — led by our highly anticipated expansion to the West — the league continues to push forward. Built on the proven success of our Eastern Division, the upcoming West Division will deliver the same high-intensity play, fierce rivalries, and unmatched exposure that define UT1HL.

The next chapter of UT1HL hockey is coming west — and it’s going to raise the bar.
