15 New Programs, Over 100 Member Teams Across North America — And Counting
The United Tier 1 Hockey League (UT1HL) is proud to officially announce a major Western Expansion initiative for the 2026-27 season, marking one of the biggest growth periods in league history.
With the addition of 15 new programs and now at more than 100 teams from across North America — and counting — the UT1HL continues to establish itself as one of the fastest-growing and most competitive youth hockey platforms in the country.
This expansion represents more than just new locations and new teams. It reflects the league’s commitment to growing the game, expanding opportunities for players and families, and creating a true coast-to-coast hockey experience.
“Our vision has always been to unite elite programs from across North America while providing an unmatched experience for players, coaches, and families,” the league stated. “This Western Expansion is another huge step forward in building something truly special.”
UT1HL WESTERN SHOWCASE SERIES
As part of the expansion, the UT1HL will host three premier Western Showcase events during the 2026-27 season:
UT1HL Salt Lake Showcase
November 6-8, 2026 Venues: Peaks Ice Arena & Surrounding Rinks
The Western Expansion officially kicks off in Salt Lake City, where programs from across the United States and Canada will compete in one of the season’s premier early showcase events. The event is expected to bring together elite competition, high-energy atmospheres, and unmatched exposure opportunities.
UT1HL St. Louis Showcase
December 18-20, 2026 Venues: Maryville University & Surrounding Rinks
The excitement continues in St. Louis as teams gather in the Midwest for another major league showcase event. Known for its passionate hockey community and growing development scene, St. Louis provides the perfect setting for high-level competition during the holiday showcase season.
UT1HL Arizona Showcase
January 22-24, 2027 Venue: Fire & Ice Arena – Phoenix
The Western Showcase Series concludes in Arizona, bringing elite Tier 1 hockey to one of the fastest-growing hockey markets in the United States. The Phoenix event will feature programs from across North America competing under the lights in a championship-style atmosphere.
