3/5/2023 Hooksett, New Hampshire

The United Tier 1 Hockey League 2023 Playoffs provided a lot of drama and entertaining hockey as they concluded Sunday at the Ice Den Arena in Hooksett, NH.  New Champions were crowned at the 18U, 16U, & 15U levels, while our 14U division had a repeat winner.

18U

This game featured the top 2 teams during the regular season, the American Hockey Academy and Norwich Free Academy.  At the half, the teams were tied 2-2 as the play was back and forth with nonstop action. It took until the final few minutes of play for AHA to pull ahead 3-2 and complete their Championship season.  The winner was scored by JOSEPH PANKOWSKI completing his Hat Trick in the finals.

16U

American Hockey Academy came out flying from the hop and delivered an impressive win versus Atlantic Hockey Academy to capture the 16U UT1HL Championship.  Led on offense by ANTHONY AZZARELLO who scored 7 goals on the weekend and back stopped with a solid performance in net by BRENDAN CARBERRY

15U

The 15U UT1HL Finals pitted 2 rivals against each other the Seacoast Performance Academy and the American Hockey Academy.  It was a tightly checked game until DYLAN TAYLOR broke the tie in the 2nd half. SPA powered by netminder GARRET LANT never looked back, as they took home their first UT1HL Championship.

14U

The 14U division saw the top 2 teams the New Hampshire Avalanche face off against the Twin Cities Gladiators in a rematch from earlier in the weekend.   The New Hampshire Avalanche came out jumping, led on offense by SEAN MCGRATH’s 2 goals and a team leading 5th goal on the weekend from JADEN HAAS.  The Avalanche completed their undefeated weekend and took home the UT1HL 14U crown.

Congratulations to all our Champions and thank you to all our participants. We look forward to an exciting 2023-24 season!
